When EstateCo reaches out to someone about a potential inheritance, that first conversation matters.
For many heirs, the call comes out of the blue. They may be hearing about a relative’s estate for the first time. They may be skeptical, overwhelmed, or unsure what to believe. Some have never dealt with probate. Others are still processing the loss of someone they loved.
Jenna Devroy understands that every conversation starts with a simple but important goal: helping people feel informed enough to make a confident decision.
As a Heir Advocate on EstateCo’s Outreach team, Jenna is often one of the first people potential heirs speak with. Her role is to answer questions, explain what EstateCo does, and provide the clarity people need to understand their options and decide what comes next.
Her approach reflects one of EstateCo’s core values: Advocate with Empathy and Compassion. Jenna’s compassion comes through in every conversation she has with heirs. Here’s what she had to say about her work and what inspires her most.
How long have you been with EstateCo?
3 to 6 months
In your own words, what do you do at EstateCo — and where does your role begin and end in a client’s journey?
I bring awareness to potential heirs of their decedent’s estate. My role is to provide information, answer questions, and give people the clarity they need to make informed decisions with confidence.
What part of your work matters most to you — the thing you wish every heir understood?
We genuinely care about what happens to your family. We see the hardship, the strained relationships, and the emotional, financial, and logistical burdens families carry during estate matters.
It’s heartbreaking to think how many of these situations could be avoided if more people had a clear estate plan or a will in place. A little preparation can spare families a tremendous amount of stress and uncertainty.
What’s something people would be surprised to learn about your work?
How rewarding it is to help families through one of the most stressful times in their lives. Most people are not prepared for what happens when someone they love passes away. Knowing that I played a small role in helping a family move from loss and confusion to clarity and resolution is incredibly meaningful. What may also surprise people is the level of care and teamwork involved. Everyone at EstateCo works together to help families preserve their legacy.
Which of our core company values resonates most with you?
Advocate with Empathy and Compassion
If someone books a virtual appointment with you, what can they expect from that conversation?
Honesty. I will do my best to explain the facts we have while also approaching the conversation with compassion and understanding. My goal is to help potential heirs understand their options regarding their family’s estate and ensure they know they have an advocate in their corner.
What do you love doing when you’re not working?
When I’m not working, I like to garden. I love watching things grow, and I like getting my hands dirty. I guess you could say I’m a futurist. I’m always planning for the next big thing for the yard and for my family. I also love music. Music is medicine. Anytime I can see live music or just jam out, I feel alive. Also, I’m an avid reader.
