Privacy Policy

Your privacy is a priority. Users will be asked to submit documentation that contains personal information, but these requests vary based on the information about the owner of the account as provided by the company that reported the funds to the Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Unclaimed Property. Potential documents that might be requested include the following: proof of your past relationship to the entity that reported the account to the Department; documentation of your Social Security Number; certified copies of official documentation that establishes your entitlement to the deceased account owner if you are the heir of a deceased account owner. If you are unable to provide certified copies of documentation that establishes your entitlement, UMS can obtain the necessary documentation for a fee.

UMS is capable of obtaining a user’s personally identifiable information to file a claim on behalf of the user with the Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Unclaimed Property. This information can include first and last name, mailing address, email address, telephone number(s), Social Security number and driver’s license number. This information will never be sold or shared with a third party apart from the Florida Department of Financial Services, Division of Unclaimed Property, and this will only occur as needed.
